Their fire pit set ablaze with the flip of a switch; no wonder why they called it autopilot. It was none other than Hearth Products Controls new 30" round flat fire pit insert. This thing was unbelievably made from high-quality #304, 18-gauge stainless steel with a 24" 5-point-star-shaped burner, emitting up to 200k BTUs of heat. It was fueled by propane gas, but the 24-volt model required an HPC/SEBCO 24vac, 100W power supply for maximum performance. The uniquely flat design came fully assembled and had welded gas fittings, weep holes for water drainage, and a raised hub burner for water prevention. It seemed to be made for enclosures with recessed mounts and internal sidewalls to hold the decorative media in place. They had two of these certified inserts on display - one with beautiful colored glass for a more contemporary style and the other filled with lava rocks for a calming, serene feel. They demonstrated how the unit worked with helpful electronic timers and life-saving emergency stop keys. They even had these vinyl covers that are supposed to keep the appliance looking and running like new, but all the accessories were sold separately.
