Can the fire bricks be installed in the hunter camp stove and how many do you recommend to use?
    1 Answer
Here is an excerpt from the manual on brick lining -

Avoiding overheating: Your HUNTER does not come with refractory firebrick. Nevertheless, it is recommended(although not an obligation) to install firebrick on the bottom of the firebox. Even if the firebrick does not fit perfectly on the bottom, leaving spaces between each brick will help protect your firebox and increase its useful life. This being the case they do not give recommendations for the amount of bricks. Looking at the dimensions of the box, six 4" x 8" bricks would be the most that you could fit. This is all calculated just from the drawings.

What do these bricks weigh, and can I solder them together?

No, firebrick would not be able to be soldered together. You should use Refractory cement if you want to join bricks together. Each of these bricks weighs about 2 pounds.

Can these bricks be used to build a hearth pad? What is the load limit?
    1 Answer
Unfortunately, these would likely not be able to hold a stove. These are meant to be used as the bricks in the combustion chamber of a wood stove.

What type of masonry material do you use to install these bricks? Do you supply this material?
    1 Answer
These bricks are actually designed to be installed into a plate steel stove, without the use of mortar. The stoves are supplied with retaining rails and brackets to hold the bricks in position. If you plan on using the bricks for a masonry application, I recommend using a product such as the Rutland Pre-Mixed Refractory Fireplace Cement - 1 Gallon Tub to set them.

    Perfect
These bricks were exactly what I was looking for. They were perfect for my firepit. I added a little sand, laid the bricks on top and added more sand to fill in any gaps. It makes clean up a breeze. I have used my firepit a few times since I set it up and had no issues. The packaging was great and I had no issues with damage to any of the bricks. I would definitely buy again if I needed to, and I highly recommend them.

Good Product, Fast Shipping, Satisfied Customer
I ordered 2 boxes of 9 bricks. They were shipped quickly and arrived on time. The box they came in showed obvious external damage. Upon inspection, one box of nine was fine. The other box had 5 of the bricks broken. I used the website form to explain what I received. A quick response from the vendor asked for pictures of the problem. I sent them in and the next day I received an email stating they would send a replacement box of bricks. Within a week, I had a replacement box of bricks and they were fine. Overall: very good customer service. I would use them again. My fireplace is glowing again!
