Does this have a flat bottom where the candles sit or are there metal pointed things in the middle that hold the candle?
This item does have welded prongs that are designed to hold the candles in place, should the holder be struck or moved accidentally.

What We Were Looking For

No Mess
The best thing about this candelabra is that we can enjoy the warm atmosphere of the fire without the mess. It instantly dressed up our fireplace and is perfect for reading beside. We love it!

Different Than Expected
We really like the look of this candelabra in our fireplace and there was no problem assembling it. With that said, we were disappointed with how much this candelabra was different than what we expected. The plates for the candles are said to be four inches across, but they curve up on the sides making it so only a three inch wide candle will fit on them. There is also a three quarter inch tall metal spike that sticks up out of the middle of each of the plates. Since we are using pillar candles for this, the spikes are not needed and they ruin part of the candle wick. We wish we would have known these things before buying the product.
