You may be asking yourself, "Why exactly do I need a fireback?" While firebacks are not nearly as well known of an accessory as a fireplace screen, they certainly provide a valuable service to any hearth. With the Fireback, you receive an item that protects the firebrick from damage and radiates heat from the fire out into the room. The sturdy design of the Fireback ensures longevity and it is a great addition to any home. While not quite as well known as other fireplace accessories, the Fireback is a must have for anyone who is trying to get the most out of their fireplace.

great product

I have an ornate fireback, and I wanted two plain firebacks to cover the sides of my fireplace. These fit perfectly, and look lovely. Exactly as expected

Plain is Great Sometimes

This fireback is absolutely perfect for the size fireplace we have. It is true to size and the balance allow it to stay in place with just the wood grate holding it up. We love the fact that it does not distract from the look of the fireplace. Great purchase!

Pros

Size and weight. Seems to hold its black finish.

Cons

Bottom corners could be square... then we would not have to remove it to totally clean out ashes.
