    For a traditional or contemporary fireplace setting, these stylized deer head wrought iron andirons work perfectly. Designed to hold your logs up off the brick or stone, andirons provide space for kindling underneath and air circulation to keep the flames going. This graphite coated set is crafted with an extra center support to prevent sagging under the stress of heat or heavy logs. This set will fit well in a fireplace opening that is at least 20 inches tall; the andirons are 18 1/2 inches high, nine inches wide and 15 inches deep. They are suitable for indoor or outdoor fireplaces.

    What is the clearance below these andirons?

    The clearance to the top of the bar is 5", so that should make the clearance at the bottom of the bar 4.5".
