The description says textured, what is the texture?
The textured black finish on this hearth pad is a powder-coated application on both sides of the 10-gauge steel. This results in a matte surface with a slight texture, as opposed to a smooth or glossy one.

Is a hearth pad #1 enough protection for floor heat?
Type 1 stove boards are only rated for ember protection. Type 2 boards protect against embers and heat. This board would not be sufficient for heat protection.

This is a picture of a regular hearth pad and the description states it is a corner pad. Do you have a picture of the corner pad?
The manufacturer does not provide an image of the corner Type I board. Click here for a link to their website. Click on Steel Hearth Pads at the top of their page then scroll down to view the dimensions.
