The AW Perkins Square Heavy Duty Poly Brush has plenty of surface area for the powerful bristles to break up even the heaviest soot and creosote build-up you may encounter. The bristles themselves are made of polypropylene, which means they're strong enough to break up soot and creosote while resisting any corrosive or acidic effects from wood-burning byproducts, including flue gases. This actually gives the brush a notable advantage over steel bristles, which deteriorate when exposed to the same gases.
