Is there a start button on the outside, or do you have to pull back a panel to light? Does the cover actually cover the stones when not in use?
The control button is on the outside, as there is a hole in the "G" panel for this—please see page 8 of the assembly/operation instructions here. When closed, the cover does encompass the burner pan.
