What is the difference between the P4X and P4XF models?

The p4x uses the ceramic briquettes over a portion of the grill, whereas, the p4xf uses a perforated flavor screen.

What is the length, width, and height of this grill with natural gas? What is the built-in kit and is it needed?

The body of the P4X is 24 1/4"w x 16 1/8" d according to the tech team for Broilmaster. You would not need the built-in kit if the dimensions of the new grill head are close to the old grill head's dimensions. It will also depend on if the mounting points on the old kit have not rusted out or corroded over time.

What is the grill made of? Will it rust? And what is the guarantee on the grill head?

This grill head is made of cast aluminum. It has a limited lifetime warranty against rust-through, though the black paint is not part of this warranty. As such, it is recommended to cover it when not in use, if exposed to the elements.

These grills last forever. The top does not rust. You will have to replace the burner every 5 to 10 years. This grill is fantastic.

Great grill!
I had my last Broilermaster for 25 years. With a little maintenance, they last a very long time. I decided to replace it when I built a new deck because it was looking a bit tired. The new P4X fit on the same cart I had 35 years ago. I cleaned up and painted the old cart and the head bolted right in! Simple installation. The new grill is superb and cooks like a dream. I would highly recommend this grill for a natural gas setup.

Broilmaster Grill is built to last a life time.
My wife bought me a Broilmaster Grill when my 1st son was born. Oh the stories it could tell of ribeyes, Tbone steaks, hamburgers, along with 12lb turkeys on a rotisserie at Thanksgiving. I had to replace the burner a couple of times but everything else was original on it for 44 years of use. We gave it to a growing family and they loved it. We down sized and bought a new Broilmaster grill 4 years ago that is of the same lifetime quality as our first. I'm 70 and plan to live until 87 so this grill will just be broke in at the end of my life.
