The HomeSaver Gelco Semi-Custom Multi-Flue Chimney Cap is the first step to reclaiming your chimney from the elements. This steel cage-style chimney cover offers two different mesh densities- 3/4" gives you superior protection from curious animals and birds, while the 5/8" conforms to California standards for superior spark protection.
Also Note: GSC Lids are embossed if the width is 14? or greater but lids that are 13? and less width have no embossing.

They are available in galvanized painted black caps. A painted cap galvanized cap will rust. If used with a wood-burning appliance, the paint will fail faster.

Chimney Cap
Instalation was easy once overcomig getting on a ladder. I like the option of being able to fold the hinges inside or out, made taking some of the guesswork out of the equation.
Pros
Simple straight forward instalation with the ability to service your chimney for cleaning if needed.
Cons
Wear gloves as recommended because the metal is sharp.

This is a very good product for the money. The Quality is superior and the ease of installation made this a great purchase. Measure, measure, and then measure again. The hinged mounting flange makes installing the cover a breeze. Definatly wears gloves as suggested, very sharp edges.
