Is the cable length adjustable as I do not required 50' ?

This cable can be cut to length. The Lock-top dampers come with a 30' cable, so if you need between 30 and 50' this is the cable for you.
Pro Tip: Use the wire cutter on Vise-Grips to cut the cable. Stainless steel is stronger than regular wire and can be difficult to cut with a regular wire cutter.

How does this cable connect to a damper?

The control cable attaches to a reinforced connection sleeve that is mounted in the center of the damper lid. An acorn nut that attaches the sleeve to the lid must be removed in order to make the connection.
