This combo features 3/4" mesh, stainless steel and cast-aluminum construction, and silicone rubber seals. The item arrives fully assembled and includes sweeps ring, silicone sealant, a 30' stainless steel cable, and the installation hardware set. It measures 8" wide by 13" long and 11-3/4" high. It fits inside flue's that are 6" by 9" to 9-1/2" by 12-1/2". The manufacturer includes a lifetime warranty.
Please Note: Do not use dampers with gas logs. Failure to open could cause carbon monoxide to back up into your home. In case of a gas leak, gases could become trapped in the flue, resulting in an explosion

Eliminate cold drafts from your fireplace
Installation was quit simple once you prepare and take things step by step....but I do have a single story home that can be walked on.
Waiting for winter to use this yet.
Pros
Stainless steel design and cage to protect the elevator cover should be an improvement in winter ice storm events.
Cons
Found difficult to get the hook adjusted for a complete seal. So I do have a tension spring I am going to install just above the handle a few inches so this should give a degree of variance for that hook with the cap in a sealed position.

Damper Cap Combo does just what it is supposed to do.
The original damper in my chimney was not functioning so I thought I would give this a try. Removing my old damper inside the chimney was just a dirty job. The existing chimmney cap was removed quite easily and still in great shape after a lot of years. (It was a quality stainless steel product similar to the construction of the Lock-Top). The quality of the new unit is excellent. Installation was a bit of a challenge as it was a windy day
I suggest two people handle the install as you need to adhere the unit to the top of your chimney. Do not unwind the "cable unit" until you are ready to set the cap on the adhesive (it is a real pain to untangle). Instructions that were included could be much better written and clearer in overall content.
I suggest only individuals who are handy attempt this as you need to prepare the surface for the adhesive and you will be working on a roof/ladder during the process. The selling price was best around and the unit functions just as it is designed. This is just the start of my first season with the item so I cant make any long term judgements at this point.
