Product Details
This chimney cap comes with a built in damper with a 3/4 inch mesh. The cop and damper are made from stainless steel and cast aluminum. the damper is sealed tight with a silicone rubber gasket. The unit is fully assembled for easy installation. All the additional hardware is included for the install. A thirty foot steel cable is included for damper control. The chimney cap with the built in damper carries a lifetime warranty.
Please Note: Do not use dampers with gas logs. Failure to open could cause carbon monoxide to back up into your home. In case of a gas leak, gases could become trapped in the flue, resulting in an explosion

My chimney dimensions on the inside are 10x15. From the description of your chimney cap w/ flue the 8x13 would accommodate my flue.
This cap/damper combo fits flues with inside dimensions ranging from 9" x 14" up to 12-1/2" x 17-1/2. So, yes, this will work on a flue with a 10" x 15" inside opening.

Stopped the summer down drafts
I have a ranch with a wood stove in the finished basement. In the summer I get stinky down drafts. This product solved that problem. Easy to install, it comes with everything needed. I would change the locking mechanism, thought. To close it you pull the cable and slide the chain into a bracket with a slot cut in it. The problem is, if you can't quite get a full link in the slot, you're forced to let open slightly to align the next link. Not a big deal but I'd change it to allow a positive closure every time.
