The base on this chimney cap measures17 in. x 17 in., arrives fully assembled, and is constructed with stainless steel and cast aluminum, giving it long-lasting strength and durability. The cap is covered with 3/4 in. stainless steel mesh to keep out small pests, and provides additional protection to your chimney from leaves and twigs. This combo kit includes sweeps ring, silicone sealant, 30 ft. stainless steel cable, and all the hardware needed for the installation.
Please Note: Do not use dampers with gas logs. Failure to open could cause carbon monoxide to back up into your home. In case of a gas leak, gases could become trapped in the flue, resulting in an explosion
