A top damper and chimney cap combo will give you an economical damper assembly while protecting your vent against rain and animals. It is made of stainless and cast aluminum and its silicone rubber seals create the air-tight junction that makes it so efficient. The unit comes fully assembly and includes the Sweeps Ring, silicone sealant, 30' stainless steel cable, and the installation hardware set. The combo carries a manufacturer's lifetime warranty and has dimensions of 13" W x 17" L x 11-3/8" H. It fits inside flue sizes of 9" x 14" to 12-1/2" x 17-1/2". Its cross sectional area is 150 square inches.
Please Note: Do not use dampers with gas logs. Failure to open could cause carbon monoxide to back up into your home. In case of a gas leak, gases could become trapped in the flue, resulting in an explosion
