What is the the temperature limit on the 304 pipe?
    1 Answer
The manufacturer does not provide a temperature rating for this liner, only that it is suitable for "wood burning, non-condensing gas and oil-fired appliances." This liner should only be installed within a functional masonry chimney.

Concerning six inch flexible chimney liner, Is there more than one grade of this stuff. I ask this because there seems to be a pretty wide range of quoted prices on same. If the answer is yes, what is the best grade and how much should it cost for about 30 feet of the best grade chimney liner?
    1 Answer
There are two types of stainless steel liners, 304 and 316 alloy. The 304 is the most common, while the 316 is more protected against corrosion and ideal for very wet and seaside environments.

I want to connect this to a wood furnace. I have 6 inch flu in the chimney, just a touch wider. I don't believe there is room for insulation. Do I need the T connector? Or, can I fish this through the wall at the bottom and connect directly to the wood burning furnace? Also, do I need a smooth bore pipe, so there is no build up in the cracks? This is in a cabin and burned only on the weekends from time to time and at most 30-50 times a year.
    1 Answer
With a slightly larger then 6" flue, the insulation will not fit. The connection from the furnace to the wall thimble must be rigid pipe. No, it does not have to be a tee connection. Depending on how it is passing through to the masonry chimney, you can use a mortar sleeve and a flex connector instead.

    Good quality liner
Easily installed this line for a new fireplace. Solid construction and had enough flex to work in my chimney that was not a straight shot.
