This particular chimney cap is made especially for round clay flue tiles. Install this chimney cap for lasting protection for your chimney flue.
Please Note: Note: These caps are for round clay tile applications only; not for use on metal prefabricated chimneys. Use the Guardian Cap for solid-pack class-A pipe.

If the base is 12 inches round, how does it fit a 12 & 1/2 inch flue?
The base is, instead, slightly over-sized with several right angle brackets tacked to the interior of the cap allowing the cap to fit over multiple chimney flue sizes. Once in place, set screws hold tightly against the outer diameter of the flue tile.
