Bought chimney cap. Exactly what was described and illustrated. Helpful measuring guidance as well, so product was exact fit. I did have a little difficulty with installation, so I called for help. After speaking with the representative, I was able to get the cap on with the next attempt. Very satisfied with everything.

Was pleased with the quality and workmanship of the chimney cap I purchased. Other than having to climb a ladder, installation was fairly straight forward. It fit like a glove.

Took me two trips up the ladder to install this. The cap is made of really heavy stainless steel and my self drilling screws or drill bits wouldn't penetrate! Had to climb down to punch holes, than back up to emplace. Heavy duty and if anything goes wrong, you can take it apart and service it. Like if Calfire says the mesh holes are too big. You can install tighter (non-stainless) mesh to meet code. As a perfectionist, I took ten minutes to file down the sharper edges in case I ever have to touch it again. Glad I bought it.

I have looked in retail stores for this but all I found was flimsy thin metal, this one fit my stove pipe (8 inch oil well casing ) perfectly very satisfied.

Overall, I really am very pleased with my purchase. The cap I received is made of tough, sturdy quality. I did have a problem with my cap in that a rivet had come loose, but I was able to make the correction with a rivet that I had on hand. Thank you for the included adhesive - I did use that. It might be nice if the company would consider drilling holes in the bottom of the flange as stainless steel is difficult to penetrate.
