This chimney cap is really well constructed, and youll be really pleased with how sturdy it is when you consider how little it costs. I did have to make some adjustments to the way the company recommends it be installed because of some of my chimneys quirks. But the end of the story is that no rain leaks in any more. I was disappointed when my previous chimney cap got rusty, fell apart, and blew away, but I'd had it for a long time. I've replaced it with this model. Its the right size and is durable. Its stainless steel, too, so rusting shouldn't be a problem now.

I am not really sure if this product is going to do exactly as I had hoped. My main concern was to keep rain water from entering an exhaust I have for my hot water heater. The screen is taller than I expected (maybe twice as tall as the photo on the website). I hope it will work, but I guess we will find out as the rains come. It is a very ruggedly built product - just the way stainless steel should be. It actually surpassed my expectations in construction quality. Now, I hope it works.
