Product Details
This black galvanized steel chimney is made with a sturdy 18-gauge steel base for stability and 18-gauge 3/4" mesh to keep birds, mice, and other animals out of your flue. The top is made of 24-gauge steel and is hand-finished to have a rolled edge. Stripped threads during installation are prevented by weld-nut technology. The item carries a manufacturer's lifetime warranty against workmanship and materials and a 3-year warranty on rusting. The base size is 17'x 17" and it will fit outside tile dimensions of 16-1/2" x 16-1/2" to 18-1/2" x 18-1/2". The screen height is 8".

I have a standard 16x16 inch (15.75x15.75 inches outside measurement) cement block chimney and I'm looking for a cap to install over it.
The HomeSaver Pro 17 in. x 17 in. Base cap is designed to fit outside tile dimensions ranging from 16-1/2 x 16-1/2 inches to 18-1/2 x 18-1/2 inches. Your chimney's outside measurement of 15.75 x 15.75 inches falls below the minimum requirement on both sides, so this cap will not fit.
For a 15.75 x 15.75 inch outside tile dimension, we recommend the Draft King 15 in. x 15 in. Black Painted Galvanized Steel Single Flue Chimney Cover ($138.69). This model fits outside tile dimensions from 13-3/4 x 13-3/4 inches up to 16 x 16 inches and typically ships the same business day. A stainless steel version is also available: the Draft King 15 in. x 15 in. Stainless Steel Single Flue Chimney Cover ($241.06).

Built to Last
I appreciate the way this chimney cap is madeits not cheap and flimsy but is strong and well built. Ive had it up for several weeks, and its doing the job. Installation wasnt hard either, even though my chimney isnt a standard size.
