Is there some sort of drill bit attachment I will need to connect the rods to my hammer drill?
As long as your hammer drill has an adjustable chuck, the only adaptor needed is the 1-Foot starter section available on this page.

AW PERKINS STEEL RODS

The quarter inch rods worked great at removing the chimney liner. They stayed connected and flexed enough to make it easy to control the spinning rod. I recommend purchasing the tool for disassembling the rods.

Pros

It worked as expected.

Cons

It was difficult to remove the sections.
