There's a reason ChimneySaver is one of the top names in the game of chimney flue cleaning! Its dedication to the safety and maintenance of your wood-burning fireplace or stove culminates in useful and trustworthy tools like the Cre-Away Creosote Modifier. This handy powder catalyzes via heat to penetrate glazed-on creosote and break it down. Squeeze a few puffs of Cre-Away into your chimney, light a fire, and this powerful creosote modifier converts that dangerous fire hazard into a state that's easy to sweep away. ChimneySaver's Cre-Away can then be used as a regular chimney cleaning product to prevent creosote buildup and odors.

Please Note: This product not intended for use on catalytic wood stoves.

How are these ChimneySaver Cre-Away squeeze tubes applied to flue tiles? Is it a liquid?
This product squeezes out in powder form. This would need to be applied from the top of the chimney and the powder would coat the inside of the flue. You would then continue to burn your appliance for two weeks and at this point, any creosote will have turned into an ashy substance for easy removal.
