This product is a creosote modifier that is applied directly to the flue surface and not into the fire. It will work on glazed creosote to make it easy to remove, which reduces the risk of a creosote fire in your chimney. Used after a chimney cleaning, it will work on any remaining creosote deposits and will help to neutralize the odors and acidity of the creosote. The reaction time is about 1-2 weeks on average. You can treat 2-3 chimneys per bottle. This package gives you a case of six 16-oz bottles.

    I have a chimney that's approx. 30 feet. How often should I use Cre-away?
    1 Answer
Per the manufacturer, a coat of Cre-Away should be applied once a week during burning season.  All chimneys should be inspected and/or cleaned annually by a qualified chimney sweep.

How are these ChimneySaver Cre-Away squeeze tubes applied to flue tiles? Is it a liquid?
    1 Answer
This product squeezes out in powder form. This would need to be applied from the top of the chimney and the powder would coat the inside of the flue. You would then continue to burn your appliance for two weeks and at this point, any creosote will have turned into an ashy substance for easy removal.

    Cre away
I've been in the chimney industry for over 20 years and this is one product I swear by to remove creosote if applied and cleaned properly! Been using it for years and would never use anything else.

Chimney Saver Cre-Away keeps my chimney clean and safe!
I've been using Cre-Away for five years and it works great! I use my fireplace often and never have a creosote buildup due to Cre-Away. I highly recommend it!!!

    cre away
Great product, does the job it says. The chimney was very full of hard shiny creosote, and with a few applications it transformed it to flaky ash and into porous and brittle stuff, easy to brush away.
