*Venting Requirements: This unit requires venting pipe with an inner diameter of 6 Inches. Please see the Venting Components section on this page if available for venting pipe that must be used with this unit. When you need to pass a pipe through a combustible wall into a masonry chimney, you may well need to use an Insul-Flue 6 Inch Insulated Thimble. And if you use that thimble, you'll need to use this Insul-Flue 6 Inch Cover Assembly ONLY, too. In fact, you have to add the cover assembly to your separately purchase thimble to successfully complete the installation. Just be aware that the cover assembly protrudes 13 inches into the room. Is the cover assembly include both the metal base and the sleeve?

This assembly is indeed both the cover plate and the metal sleeve. The round inner thimble is a separate component.
