Will this paint work to make an old gas heat stove look better?
1 Answer
The paint will work, so long as the surface temperature of the heater does not exceed 250 degrees. How any of our paints will look once the job of repainting is completed will depend on the preparation of the surface you are painting and the proper application of the paint. While StoveBright offers several extremely helpful tutorials on their YouTube channel that I'd recommend watching first, you should thoroughly clean the surface you are painting using a 50/50 water and vinegar solution, followed by lightly sanding the surface for the paint to adhere properly. This paint should be evenly applied in several coats.
Can I use this in my gas stove to make it easier to dust and clean? If so, how many cans will I require and is this paint available as brush on? Would brush on be a good idea or is spraying best?

You are correct that this will work for your application. The paint will require a short time to heat cure, but should dry to a smooth, easy to clean finish once cured. Two or three cans of paint should work just fine to cover your stove. Applying in a spray works great to achieve even coats and to avoid brush strokes in the finished product.
