Can the paint be used on the interior portion of a fireplace where the wood is actually burning? And can it be used on a masonry rather than metallic surface?

While it can be used on masonry, it is not meant to be sprayed on an inside area where it would be exposed to direct flame.

Will Stovebright work for an outside fire pit?

Our Stove Bright paint is only intended to paint an indoor wood stove. We cannot recommend it for outside use, as it is not listed for such a purpose.

While testing a small area first is recommended, yes, high-temperature paint like StoveBright can be used for this purpose.

Are these spray paints good to change the color of a Dorvefree standing cast iron stove?
Stove is currently forest green and I want to change color to either gray or black.

Most of our Stove Bright paints are for painting the bodies of stoves, but be careful to not select a "gas vent paint", as those are not tested to the higher temperatures of the paints specified for stoves. You may need multiple coats to achieve the look you desire.
