Can the Almond Stovebright Stove Paint be used to repaint the inside of a brick, woodburning fireplace?
    1 Answer
This is only recommended if the masonry fireplace is no longer being used for wood burning. Burning wood will cause the paint to discolor and flake, however it will work well with a gas burning appliance.

Based on your dimensions and the average coverage for this paint, two cans should offer sufficient coverage for your project.

    Marla
    from NY asked:
    August 27, 2012
What kind of finish do you get with this paint? Do you recommend using the primer first?
    1 Answer
This particular paint, as with most of the high heat paints, will dry to a satin finish. It would not be necessary to use a primer before painting the stove, as this paint already has a self-etching primer agent added to its compound. It is recommended, however, to clean the surface of the stove and remove any corrosion that may be present.
