Can you use this paint to touch up chipped Heat and Glo gas fireplace logs?
    1 Answer
We do not carry that brand, so we would suggest contacting the manufacturer directly. However, we would not advise using even hi-temp paint on gas logs as it will peel badly from being in direct contact with flames.

I have a Heat-N-Glow fireplace, model SL-750TR-C, installed about 2001. It has shiny brass trim which I want to paint black flat to match the rest of the insert. Are you able to tell me if the above paint is suitable for this, and whether it is "flat"?
    1 Answer
Yes, this paint is suitable for that purpose. I would recommend sanding the surface of the trim before painting. Also, look at Stove Bright Flat Black Paint - 43205.

We have a superior model cf6-cmn and would like to make the brass hood black would this product do the job?
    1 Answer
You can certainly use this paint, but we would recommend sanding off the current finish so it does not peel from the heat.

How can I touch up the paint around the glass front of my gas fireplace?
    1 Answer
The surround can be repainted, however is it often best to strip and repaint the entire surround/frame if possible. Touch up paint works well for very minor scrapes and scratches, but flaking paint will often continue to do so underneath the new layer. Only by completely redoing the surround will you alleviate the issue entirely.
