Roof flashing around your chimney vent protects both the vent pipe and your home from water and is essential to a good top termination. This flashing is made of durable galvalume and is compatible with the DirectVent Pro venting system. It has a 6-5/6" pipe opening and is appropriate for use on 4" DirectVent Pro chimney pipe. The part is adjustable but can be ordered in two different roof pitch ranges. A separately purchased storm collar is required for a complete termination.

Is caulking necessary between this roof flashing and the pipe?
The flashing will not need to be caulked to the pipe as the pipe expands slightly when heated and will need to be able to move. The caulking around the storm collar will keep the installation watertight.

Can I use this for my wood burning stove?
This vent pipe is only suitable for use with certain direct vent gas fireplaces and stoves; it cannot be used to vent a wood stove.
