Do you love heating with wood, but dread getting your wood fire started? This convenient gas starter pipe takes all the guess work out of fire building! The 90 Degree Elbow Gas Starter Pipe comes complete with a mixing chamber, making the use of natural gas to start your fire simple. The pipe has a 1/8 inch opening to emit gas evening beneath your logs. Installation is easy, and this starter pipe has 1/2" pipe threads.

Does the mixing chamber need to be facing upwards? This 90 degree is on the opposite side then I need. The chamber would be facing downward
The mixing chamber can be facing downward with no issue.

Excellent Product
Make sure to read the description of the product as there are two options available. This version is the angled pattern, which attaches to the gas line at a right angle. The other version is the straight patter, which attaches in a straight line to the gas line. I'm truly happy with this product.

Works as Advertised
I like how easily we can light fires in our outdoor fireplace with this product. I've used it about a dozen times since it was installed a few months ago. I also like that when the fire dies out I can turn the gas back on and get it going again.
