Safety is a prime concern when it comes to heating your house, and HomeSaver's Heat Shield Spacers are just what you need to mount your new stove boards or hearth pad safely. The ceramic spacers are highly heat-resistant and provide an inch of clearance between your stove pad and your wall. These spacers are easy to install in the combustible wall around your stove, either by screwing them directly into the wall studs or using the plastic anchors included with the kit.

Please Note: HomeSaver can only be sold and shipped to general contractors or licensed chimney sweeps. Orders to the general public cannot be fulfilled. If you have a contractor please provide his name and address. This will need to be shipped directly to the contractor. The manufacturer will not make exceptions.

How do you determine how many spacers you need?
How do you determine how many spacers you need?
The number of spacers is dependent on the material you are using for your wall protection. A thin, metal wall protector is best to have a spacer every 6 linear inches, while denser material such as Micore or Durock can use a spacer every 12 linear inches.

Josh from Springfield, MA asked:
Can the screw go through a piece of cement board, through the spacer, and directly into a wooden stud?
Can the screw go through a piece of cement board, through the spacer, and directly into a wooden stud?
These spacers should work just fine for that application. Each of these 30 screws are 2 1/2" long. The spacers included are 1" long. That leaves plenty of screw left over to pass through your cement board and sink positively into the wall stud behind it.
