This firestop must be used when a chimney passes through a floor or a ceiling without a ceiling support box and is designed both to support the chimney and to protect the surrounding combustible materials from the chimney's heat. It is designed for use with the DuraPlus 6" chimney pipe and is made of durable galvalume. The firestop is 16" high. It carries a limited lifetime warranty. The DuraPlus system is an all-fuel chimney that can be used with appliances that are fueled by wood, oil, coal or gas.
