This All Fuel Square Cathedral Ceiling Support Box provides support for thorugh the ceiling chimney pipes. A chimney support box is especially good for support in cathedral and vaulted ceilings. This support will hold up to thirty five feet of 6 inch chimney pipes. This All Fuel Square Cathedral Ceiling Support Box is made by Dura Plus and will work with perfect compatibility with other Dura Plus vent components. This support box features a limited lifetime warranty.

The outer dimensions of the ceiling support box are 2 inches larger than the Class A chimney system installed inside it. This design maintains the required 2-inch clearance to combustibles within the support box, rather than externally.

The DuraVent DuraPlus Support Box is designed to be installed within a framed opening that is larger than the box itself. This space ensures the required clearance to combustible materials. The drywall being flush against the outer trim, as seen in some images, does not eliminate this essential air gap. According to the DuraVent DuraPlus installation manual, for a 6-inch inner diameter chimney, the framed opening for the Square Support Box should be cut to 14-1/2 inches by 14-1/2 inches. The support box is then placed inside this opening, extending at least 2 inches below the finished ceiling. It's crucial to maintain at least a 2-inch air space clearance between the outer walls of the support box and the surrounding framing and drywall on all sides. This clearance must not be filled with any insulation or other materials. After securing the box to the framing with nails and screws, a U-shaped trim frame is attached over the opening to conceal the gap cosmetically. This is why the installed photos show the trim appearing flush against the drywall; the actual air space clearance remains hidden behind the trim. What connection do I need to attach a double-wall Duravent 6" pipe to both sides of this support box?
This support box is designed to transition from either 6" single-wall black stovepipe or 6" double-wall black stovepipe, such as DuraVent's DVL pipe, to the 6" inside diameter DuraPlus chimney pipe. Please confirm if you are using the DuraVent double-wall black DVL pipe. If not, kindly clarify the specific pipe you are using below this box.
