Is it 8 inch to out side?

The female end of this elbow will have a measurement of exactly 8 inches, while the male end will be crimped and will have a diameter of approximately 7 7/8 inches at the end and will gradually taper back up to 8 inches for a tight fit.

Will this elbow connect with standard non-snap-lock pipe ?

While it is always best to keep brands of stove pipe and connectors the same, this elbow should connect to any single-wall, crimp type stove pipe.
