*Venting Requirements: This unit requires venting pipe with an inner diameter of 8 Inches. Please see the Venting Components section on this page if available for venting pipe that must be used with this unit. When you connecting stovepipes to appliances, the pipe may not always match the stove. If you are using Snap Lock venting pipes, you are in luck. With this stovepipe black steel draw band, it is possible to take flue collars that are larger than you pipes openings and make it fit safely and securely. This draw band is eight inches in diameter. It is made from 24 gauge steel and has an attractive black finish. |

We are remodeling our basement and removed the 5 inch pedestal our wood burning stove sat on. We have a 15†damper pipe coming out of the stove with a crimped (male) top end, which connects to a 90 degree elbow which goes into a pipe through the wall and out. I would like to find a black 8†pipe to make up the height we lost when we lowered to stove. The pipe is single wall. Is there an adjustable pipe available that would take care of this, or would this pipe work with some trimming?

You can use an Adjustable pipe (38"-70") OR you can try a slip connector.

This will not work on its own but you might be able to modify the fit with the use of furnace rope gasket in between the connector and flue collar.
