Please see the Venting Components section on this page if available for venting pipe that must be used with this unit. The purpose of this unit is to provide support for a vertical chimney pipe at the ceiling level and keep the required minimum 2-inch clearance to combustibles at the support level. This is a necessary item since a hot stove pipe too close to wood or other housing materials that are combustible can cause a fire. The support package comes with a standard square trim plate and is compatible with an 8-inch inner diameter chimney pipe. It can support up to 50 feet of vertical chimney height. What size framed opening is required for the installation of this chimney pipe support?

A framed opening of 14 1/2 by 14 1/2 is required for this item, in order to maintain the required 2 inch clearances around the pipe from combustibles.
