Please see the Venting Components section on this page if available for venting pipe that must be used with this unit. This ceiling plate by MetalBest has a matte black finish that will complement any chimney installation. It is designed for use with the 8" diameter chimney pipe when the chimney passes through a pitched ceiling. It has an oval shaped hole and the two parts of the plate slide and adjust to fit snugly around the chimney pipe no matter how steep the pitch. It is ideally suited for use with the MetalBest roof support package. What are the side to side external dimension of the non adjustable side?

Per the manufacturer, the outside dimension of the non-adjustable side of each piece is18.5 inches.
