How durable is the gold finish?
The gold finish will eventually wear thin, exposing the black screen underneath. This is because the vent-free appliance discharges heat directly at the screen. To preserve the finish coating on the screen, it is recommended that the screens be opened while the fireplace is in operation (if deemed safe to do so).
