The cap has minor dents and scuffs. It is new but received two noticeable dents in transit, along with some paint rub-off on the top. One dent is on the bottom lip of the cap, and the other is on one of the vent slats. The cap is in perfect working condition and will work perfectly for your installation. If you decide to do so, you can repaint it with certified appropriate heat-safe paint.
