Customer Q&A with Product Specialists

Eric from Wexford, PA asked:
How does this Dante natural gas log lighter, ball valve, key, and floor plate kit work?
How does this Dante natural gas log lighter, ball valve, key, and floor plate kit work?
Once your pipe stub is installed into your fireplace cavity by a legally qualified professional and the proper rigid fittings are run to position the log lighter under the fireplace grate, this kit includes a ball valve that will shut off the flow of gas by turning the valve stem perpendicular to the gas line with the included 3" key. Ball valves require only a quarter turn between being fully open to allow the flow of gas and fully closed to shut off the flow of gas.
