This and all of our keys have square ends, some are stepped like this one (to fit multiple sizes), and others only fit one size. Unfortunately, we do not have any keys with round ends.

The key I have that works has a 3/8'' x 3/8'' square at the end. Does this key have the same end? See attached picture, please. Thank you.

While the universal key we offer will not work with a 3/8" x 3/8" square, your tape measure is showing 5/16" as the measurement for the square opening. If that is the case, this key will work.

Is the fitting at the end of this key 1/4 inch?

The fitting at the end of the key is stepped. The first step measures at 5/16 of an inch and the second inward step measures 1/4 of an inch. As such, the key can control both gas valve stem sizes.

Perfect Size
This key fit my valve perfectly since they are made by the same company. When you buy a product that?s ?universal,? you often don?t get something that actually works. Few ?universal? products are truly universal. It?s always a good idea to look at the specs and make sure the product will work for you. I recommended this product to anyone who needs a particular size. This one worked great for me.
