One option is to install the unit and not operate the blower. Running the insert without the blower will not adversely affect it in any way.

Great Stove for the Midwest

We love the stove. We bought the stove in October 2020 and have been using for about 3 months. This stove has been adequate for our 3600 sq. ft. home, although we live in Indianapolis and it hasn't gotten too far below freezing. Our fireplace is on the main level of two story home with a finished basement. The stove will easily stay hot for eight hours. There are always hot coals in the insert in the morning. The stove is easy to keep clean, i just wipe the glass with some vinegar and a paper towel when I empty the ash. Installation was simple, but it took about a few hours. Get help, the insert is very heavy. My only complaint is that fan that attaches to the stove rattles when it is set to any speed above low. I slid a few small shims beneath the fan and it no longer rattles.
