    I see there are clearances stated from things like windows and doors, I plan to put a shed outside, about 12" away from where my Duravent is located. Are the offset distances mainly for exhaust fumes or also the heat from the exhaust?  Does the heat mainly vent through the top of the vent?

    The clearances are listed for the proximity of items that are in the area. This is mainly for adequate dissipation of the heat from the termination and to allow for fresh air to properly be available. The heat is distributed out the top of the cap, however, the complete termination cap will get hot.
