Will double wall pipe fit this thimble?
This product page is for the exterior stainless trim only, which mounts over the wall thimble body. The wall thimble itself is a separate item. This trim and thimble are designed for 8-inch inner diameter DuraVent DuraTech chimney pipe, which passes directly through the thimble and the wall. If by "double wall pipe" you are referring to DuraVent DVL or DuraBlack double wall stovepipe (the connector pipe that runs from the appliance), that pipe does not pass through the wall thimble on its own. It first connects to a chimney adapter that transitions it to a section of DuraTech chimney pipe, and it is that DuraTech section that runs through the thimble. Venting components are brand and series specific, so we can only confirm fitment for DuraVent DuraTech pipe. Please let us know whether the double wall pipe you have is DuraTech chimney pipe or DVL/DuraBlack connector pipe, and we can confirm exactly what you need.
