Can I put glass instead of the rock inside the bowl?

Is this ok for a wood deck?

This is not rated for use on a wooden deck. Per the installation instructions "Always use this outdoor fire table on a hard, level, non-combustiblesurface such as concrete, rock or stone. An asphalt or blacktop surfacemay not be acceptable for this purpose."
