Can this be used for an outdoor gas ventless fireplace? Is it weather resistant?

This mantel can be used above a vent-free outdoor fireplace. You will need to follow your manual for your fireplace or log set for clearances to the mantel. Ekena mantels are impervious to weather, so they will hold up in this application.

Can this be mounted above an outdoor wood-burning fireplace? Can holes be placed in it to accommodate electrical outlets for lamps or decorations?

Since this mantel is made of non-combustible materials, what is the minimum clearance distance from the top of a wood burning fireplace opening?

There is no listed minimum clearance from a wood burning fireplace to this mantel. Please note, the mantel is designed to be anchored into wood studs, so heat transfer will still be a concern regarding those mantel clearances.
