Customer Q&A with Product Specialists

David from Yucaipa, Calif. asked:
How do you turn the fire on and off?
How do you turn the fire on and off?
This unit can be operated by several types of control options.  A wall switch or a handheld remote, either of which can also have a thermostat feature. Once the switch is activated by you or a thermostat, then the fireplace will use DC power to ignite the pilot, verify the flame, and light the main burner. Once you turn it off, or the thermostat doesn't call for heat, then the main burner and the pilot will shut off. The fireplace usually runs off a DC converter but you can connect batteries to use the fireplace in the event of a power outage.
