I have a discontinued Friedrich 24,000 BTU AC with dimensions 26" Wide x 30 3/8" Depth x 16 7/8" High, which fits perfectly in the existing sleeve and opening. Do you think this new 22K BTU unit would fit in the same opening? Thanks, Linda
Hi Linda, I've compared the dimensions of the Friedrich 22K BTU R-32 Chill Premier Inverter Window or Thru-Wall Air Conditioner with WiFi Control (25 1/2" W x 17" H x 26 3/8" D) to the dimensions of your existing opening (26" W x 30 3/8" D x 16 7/8" H). While the width and depth are compatible, the new unit's height of 17" is slightly greater than your existing opening's height of 16 7/8". Therefore, this unit would not fit into the same opening without modification.
