This is a wall-mounted, through-the-wall unit designed for quiet operation. However, an exact noise level in decibels is not published in the product data for this model. For specific decibel information, please confirm directly with Friedrich.
This unit does require a wall sleeve. The Uni-Fit chassis measures 24 1/4 inches wide x 14 1/2 inches high x 20 1/4 inches deep and is designed to install into an existing compatible wall sleeve using the included trim ring. If you do not have an existing sleeve, you will need the Friedrich USC or USEZ wall sleeve, which is sold separately. Full installation details are available in the Installation Guide.

I live in the North Georgia mountains. Would this unit work as a heat pump, not a strip coil unit, for installation in a fifth-wheel RV?
Hi there, The Friedrich 14K BTU R-32 Uni-Fit Heat/Cool Thru-Wall Air Conditioner primarily uses an electric heat strip for heating and does not function as a heat pump. This may not meet your requirement for a "not strip coils" unit.
For heating in the North Georgia mountains, electric heat models like this are generally recommended for moderate climates or as supplemental heat in colder regions. It might be best used as an auxiliary heat source during colder periods.
Furthermore, this unit is designed for standard through-wall installations in permanent structures. There is no information to suggest it is suitable or compatible for installation in a fifth-wheel RV. We advise consulting with an RV installation professional to determine the feasibility and safety of installing this type of through-wall unit in your RV.
