The specially-formulated polymer creates a long-lasting bond that locks out water when properly applied, and it cures in only a day or two.
Please Note: FireRock masonry fireplaces must be installed with this mortar. FireRock masonry fireplaces installed with different brands and types of mortar will not be protected under warranty.

Would FireRock Adhesive Fireplace Mortar be suitable for bonding these tiles to the metal surface of the freezer, or to metal file cabinets that will be used as outdoor flower bed borders?
After reviewing the details of your project, FireRock Adhesive Fireplace Mortar is specifically formulated for bonding masonry units together, such as firebrick and stone veneer, in the construction of masonry fireplaces. Its intended application is for masonry-to-masonry construction, not for adhering ceramic tile to metal surfaces. Given that bonding tile to metal falls outside the product's designed use, and considering the additional stress from outdoor freeze-thaw cycles in Colorado, we cannot confirm its effectiveness for your project and do not recommend it for adhering tiles to your freezer or file cabinets. For this specific application, we suggest seeking an adhesive product explicitly rated for exterior tile-to-metal bonding.

Fireplace Mortar That'll Last You Years
This FireRock Adhesive Fireplace Mortar did exactly as it stated it would when I bought it and sealed up the crack in my firebox perfectly. The crack has yet to reappear, and that was over 5 years ago. I bought this mortar again to repair another crack that appeared at the back of my firebox and I know it will work just as well as the first time I used it to seal another crack.
