Can this firepit (61832) be transitioned to a gas line unit?

Yes, this system utilizes a control knob that rotates past a built in ignitor within the valve assembly. This would be accessible through the same door used for propane tank placement.

Is there a push button ignition on this fire pit?

This system utilizes a control knob that rotates past a built in ignitor within the valve assembly. As the knob rotates past the ignite position, it sends a spark to the pilot assembly that lights the pilot. You can then turn the knob further to the "on" position.
